Dushanbe Green City Action Plan

Urbanlogic working closely with AECOM (UK) and the metropolitan government, provided green planning services supporting preparation of a Green City Action (GCAP) for Dushanbe. This included a series of action plans and a priority medium-term investment program, for subsequent implementation. The City has multiple environmental problems, critical climate change deterioration, and deep-seated socio-economic challenges, including persistent urban poverty, unemployment, poor housing and gender discrimination. The GCAP specifies the need for sustainable economic reform, social development, institutional policy initiatives and capacity building as a baseline for strategically planned investment in climate resilient urban regeneration and growth. Urban regeneration of old Soviet apartment housing communities was a special UL interest recommended for prioritization in the GCAP.
